july 4 - deltarune is woke? july 4 - deltarune is woke?i loved deltarune chapter 5 so much. i loved pretty much everything about it. the flowers were all so..soo adorable. and it was soooo fun. but i wanna talk about something quite specific i noticed in this chapter...
i've seen some discussion about ralsy (ralsei, i like calling them ralsy) possibly being trans (mostly transfem) cuz of some of the stuff from this chapter, like flowery calling ralsy "princess" and lowkey that whole scene where that happens too, the blue and pink drink 🏳️⚧️ they really wanted, the scene where they wear a dress and talk about "never getting to be a princess before" and some other stuff...and i love it so much. i'm not sure if it'll be canon but it's an amazing headcanon if anything. i do hope ralsy is actually trans though that would literally be such a good addition to their character bitch....like it would add so much... like part of ralsei's character (which is especially apparent in ch4) is that they feel like they don't really care much about themselves and only care about kris and susie, they never really think about themselves too much and seem to kinda feel like they have to act a certain way because of the prophecy, so having them realize they're trans would 1. be beautiful 2. add so much to their character growth 3. defy the prophecy and that NEEDS to happen...it's so good. i haven't been able to stop thinking about this since i first saw the theories (like 3 days after ch5 dropped) it's so beautiful and it makes my heart so so full. my ralsybaby...ok i'm genuinely getting emotional i just love trans and lgbt so much.
but going back to flowery calling ralsei "princess" it kinda implies that if ralsy is actually trans, flowery knows and like how would that bitch know??? i mean with how much beef ralsy had with him maybe they have some history bitch idk dkhavnakvnh look i never said i was good at theorizing i just love to make shit up using subtext. and queer subtext oh bitch....i will Never shut up about some queer subtext in anything.
but there's a video i watched that covers this a bit and yeah.. i feel like this all has to mean something... especially the fact that ralsei randomly get referred to by they/them pronouns near the end of the chapter (which i'm realizing now i didn't mention earlier somehow) like, there's no way that was included for no reason you know? if it was an accident it would've been patched out by now, so it was definitely done on purpose.
i love this game. ralsei mi princesita... estrogen could've saved them. maybe it will...
